At International business centre we have just launched an employability-project with the point of helping foreign students at the master’s degrees in International Business and International Marketing with finding jobs in the Northern part of Jutland. The challenge of getting a job applies to both Danish and foreign students, but the foreign students often find it more challenging, often because both language and network can be two important factors in landing the first job. Therefore, the employability-project has its focus on learning the foreign students the Danish language and in that way preparing them for a job in a Danish company. The project was carried into effect before study-start in the last two weeks of August and the training program consisted 40 lessons, where the point was partly to learn the students approximately 500 Danish words and partly to prepare the students for an oral examination, where the students should be able to engage in a conversation in Danish.
If you need some reading matter for the holiday season, we can recommend the article ”Exploring Human Energy for Extraordinary Performance as a Manager” written by Professor Dr.Merc John Kuada from International Business Centre. The article deals with human energy and how managers can benefit from being able to energize themselves and their employees. A topic that is particularly relevant in this summer season, where a lot of us are relaxing and preparing for “a new season”.
